Event Purpose – Teebar Campdraft and Rodeo, held annually in June

Teebar Show and Sports Association Inc hold an event every year at these grounds, for the local community and surrounding areas with state and inter-state visitors, spectators and competitors.

The activities that are held on the day include:

  • Full Rodeo – 9.30 am to 3.30 pm
  • Campdraft – 6.30 am to 5.00 pm
  • Hall competitions and displays – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
  • Ute muster – 10.00 am to 2.00 pm
  • Kids rides and stalls – 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
  • Licensed bar and canteen – day and night
  • Live entertainment – night

Points scored by winners from the campdraft and rodeo, contribute to the winner’s overall scores with their individual associations across the year.

Finalists from the Hall competitions and the Ute Muster gain entry into the Burnett Sub-chamber Finals as part of the QCAS (Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies) state-wide competition. The purpose of the sub-chamber event is to determine the winners in the below categories, and therefore the competitors at a state level at the Royal Brisbane Exhibition, held in August each year.

The objectives of the event are to:

  • promote the development of Pastoral, Agricultural, Horticultural, Mining, Education and Industrial resources of the surrounding district and possibly the State;
  • hold an exhibition for the purpose of having competitive displays of livestock, primary industry products and other associated products pertaining to the area.  Livestock typically would include cattle;
  • hold an exhibition on property hired from a Local Government Authority; and
  • be a community based group with provision for the profit not to be distributed amongst private individuals or groups.
